    BSG is delighted to announce an executive search placement of Maik Lankau as Chief Executive Officer for Datacom Systems, a private equity backed Internet network hardware OEM that develops innovative solutions used by Fortune 500 customers such as AT&T, Time Warner and the NYSE to analyze, monitor and protect critical data networks and infrastructure.



    Maik Lankau's background includes a history of increasing leadership  roles within the telecommunications equipment and software industry.  Past roles include Managing Director and Global Head - Business Development of Luxoft Holding, Inc. driving global business development for Luxoft’s telecommunications offerings.  With more than 20 years of extensive international experience in the telecommunications domain, Lankau’s experience includes responsibility for strategic business opportunities, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and licensing agreements, particularly with global service providers, equipment manufactures, and system integrators.  Other prior roles include as Group Vice-President for Danaher's Communications Platform in the network, security, and data center verticals and executive positions as Global Vice-President for JDS Uniphase Corporation’s Packet Portal Division, Global Senior Vice-President and Chairman for the EMEA region at Allied Telesis, and several executive positions with Spirent Communications, VSS, and Ixia.


    Datacom Systems develops innovative solutions used by Fortune 500 customers such as AT&T, Time Warner and the NYSE to analyze, monitor and protect critical data networks and infrastructure.  Datacom's products provide connectivity to the network to enable crucial data capture capabilities without compromising the integrity of the network.

    Datacom's business has generated good growth momentum, with 2016 sales rising more than 30% on a strong order pipeline, new product introductions and a refocused strategy on blue chip end users and small to medium sized security appliance vendors.

    Founded in 1992, Datacom Systems is headquarted in Syracuse, New York.
