October 2019: BSG Completes Another Successful Executive Search— Chief Executive Officer, Walpole Outdoors
BSG proudly announces a recently completed executive placement. Peter O‘Connell formally accepted the position as the Chief Executive Officer at Walpole Outdoors.
Peter O‘Connell joins Walpole Outdoors and is an experienced CEO and Private Equity Operating Partner. He brings global experience in both public and private markets, a track record of creating and executing strategies to achieve above market revenue and margin growth, and extensive experience and deep knowledge in the manufacturing industry in particular. His 25+ years of executive leadership experience have allowed him to hone his skills in business development, product management, strategic and operational strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and talent development.
Peter was most recently Operating Partner and President of Champlain Management LLC, a middle market private equity consulting firm, as well as Chief Executive Officer at the Hinckley Company, a privately held boatbuilding and service organization. Peter holds a BS from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Boston College.
