THE POSITION
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic leadership and operational execution to scale the company effectively. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in third-party logistics (3PL), supply chain management, and fulfillment operations. The CEO must drive cultural transformation, operational discipline, and organizational growth, ensuring our client remains competitive in the fast-evolving fulfillment and eCommerce landscape.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading mid-sized logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain businesses, particularly those under private equity ownership. The CEO must unify a fragmented team, enhance cross-department collaboration, and prepare the company for a potential future exit.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and supply chain partners.
- Lead organizational change and team alignment to support long-term company goals.
Operations & Fulfillment Management
- Optimize warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Implement lean operational processes to improve margins and reduce inefficiencies.
- Oversee technology adoption to enhance fulfillment speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics, transportation, and value-added services.
Commercial & Market Expansion
- Develop a sales and business development strategy to drive new customer acquisition.
- Expand the company’s reach within key industries, including cosmetics, apparel, and consumer products.
- Build strategic partnerships with eCommerce platforms and retail supply chains.
- Strengthen the company’s brand positioning as a premium, tech-enabled fulfillment provider.
Financial & Business Performance
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Optimize cost structures while maintaining high-quality service and customer retention.
- Track KPIs, EBITDA, and revenue growth to ensure profitability.
- Prepare the business for a future private equity exit or M&A opportunity.
Qualifications
- Experience working for a private equity backed business.
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the logistics and operations field, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial position.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent financial and budget management capabilities to optimize profitability.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring services meet and exceed expectations.
- Experience in strategic planning, business development, and market analysis to identify new opportunities and adapt to market trends.
- Proven experience in warehousing, e-commerce, fulfillment centers, and 3PL services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, including clients, employees, and investors.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Functional Experience
- Proven leadership experience in 3PL, eCommerce fulfillment, or logistics operations.
- Deep expertise in warehouse management, order fulfillment, and supply chain optimization.
- Experience scaling mid-market private equity-backed businesses ($75M-$250M revenue range).
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and EBITDA growth.
- Hands-on, process-driven leader with the ability to unify teams and improve accountability.
- Industry Experience
- Background in third-party logistics (3PL), supply chain management, or fulfillment services.
- Experience working with digitally native brands, eCommerce, and omnichannel retail.
- Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), EDI integrations, and automation.
- Strong understanding of reverse logistics, kitting, and last-mile delivery processes.
- Corporate Stage
- Experience in private equity-backed or founder-led companies transitioning to their next phase of growth.
- $75M-250M in revenues.
- 300+ employees.

Compensation
Compensation is competitive with the position’s requirements. In a performance-based environment, this will include base salary, annual bonus and equity participation.
