He has also managed various aspects of sales and marketing activities at Compaq Computer Corp. and Digital Equipment Corp.

The company's software enables manufacturers to automate each step of the product development cycle, from conceptual design through manufacturing, including field and in-house sales.

The company currently serves industries such as transportation, aerospace, electrical and mechanical equipment, energy and other industrial products. Customers include Babcock & Wilcox, New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Lockheed Martin, Sharon Stairs, Floway Pumps, NASA, General Electric and Interior Concepts.

Last October, the company announced it had closed its Series A round of financing with $6.3 million. Masthead Venture Partners led the round with $4.5 million, while existing individual investors contributed the remainder.

The company was founded in 1999 as Navion.
