Non-Profit
Most executive search firms avoid not-for-profit clients, not because they do not pay well or are difficult to work with (far from it), but because the search process requires more care, more patience, more persistence, more listening, and more time than search in the for-profit sector. An average search can easily run six months; some last more than a year. In addition, the number of rounds of interview and influencers in the decision-making process often make candidate control a challenge that only Job could appreciate.
Yet BSG Team Ventures has worked with more than two dozen associations, colleges, and other not-for-profit organizations to bring in the leaders who help them succeed. Most of these are in the educational service area, where BSG can leverage its broad knowledge of the for-profit industry to draw senior executives. This was our value to such groups as the National Education Association Foundation, Outward Bound, the Educational Testing Service (ETS), Western Governors University, Jumpstart, and IMS Global Learning Consortium. And it may be our value to you. |
