    [Closed Search] New VP Sales for private-equity backed leader in CRM software

    BSG Team Ventures  is recently retained on the search for a newly private equity-backed, global leader in CRM software, developing solutions for small, medium, and growth enterprise customers worldwide.

    This is a $70+ million company that over the next 24 to 36 months will grow both organically and inorganically with the goal of becoming the market leader for its industry sector.  The new VP Sales will be responsible for driving a sales team of more than 50 located in the US.  The road there?  To leverage a 4-pronged sales strategy that includes inside direct sales, channel partners, OEMs, and a unique retail/e-tail presence to support the aggressive growth and expansion goals of the corporation.

    KEY SUCCESS CRITERIA

    INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

      • Strong SOHO-SMB software experience, with career history at companies like
        • Personal & small business financial software (e.g. Intuit and their Quicken/ Quickbooks products)
        • Antivirus software (e.g. Symantec, McAfee)
        • Tax prep software (e.g. TurboTax, TaxCut
        • Contact management software (e.g. Goldmine)
      • Other SaaS software for SOHO-SMB sector

    SALES EXPERIENCE

    Combination of:

    • Inside sales (inbound AND outbound)
    • OEM sales distribution relationships
    • Channel VAR sales dealer network
    • Unique retail/e-tail presence in big box retailers

    MANAGEMENT

    • Managed sales & support teams of >50+
    • Managed multi-location sales teams (long distance management experience)

    LOCATION

    • Denver
    • Phoenix
    • Relocatable to either of the above

    COMPANY STAGE

    • Ideal: has been part of BOTH publicly held AND privately held/PE backed companies.
    • Has worked in fast-paced, goal-oriented, get-stuff-done culture
