Interesting stuff.  I might sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but it seems a little extreme for founders who scrimp and save and get a little angel financing to pay themselves over, say, $85k.  $100k? $175k!?!  Maybe I am misreading it.

Related: wasn&#039;t there a small study which found that when a startup brings in an experienced CEO, the startups which do best are the ones that limit that CEO&#039;s pay to $120k (i.e. keeping him or her &quot;hungry&quot;)?

The other thing is that I can&#039;t believe I just said &quot;fuddy-duddy.&quot;
